St. Vincent: Mass education [Loma Vista]
Annie Clark's last album on St. Vincent was MASSEDUCTION, but note the spelling difference: this one is called Mass education. These are all the same songs, with the exception of piano-based renditions, recorded with long-time collaborator Doveman's Thomas Bartlett. "We did not repeat or talk about how to approach a song, but played two or three shots live, chose the best and trust the feeling of the moment," she said about 'recording.

Kurt Vile: The bottle in [Matador]
The latest album from Philly's guitarist, Kurt Vile, has arrived. The bottle in presents the previously published "Bassackwards" and "Loading Zones" singles, as well as appearances by Kim Gordon, Cass McCombs, Warpaint's Stella Mozgawa and many others. Later this month, Vile will travel to Europe for her world tour with her band The Violators.
