1. Great discounts at Whole Foods

Prime subscribers can take advantage of Prime Reload. You can earn 2% on your purchases when you first charge funds into your Amazon balance using a debit card associated with a checking account.

In other words, you provide money for your own Amazon Gift Card, which you then use to purchase items. For example, you can charge $ 500 into an Amazon Gift Card using the Reload program and receive a $ 510 gift card.

4. Free choice book from the publisher every month

Warm up your Kindle you have free reading to do. The Amazon First Reading First Reads benefit allows you to view a new book. Prime Reading is the Amazon version of an online library containing a selection of books and magazines. You can access Prime Reading via an e-reader or the Kindle application.

First Reads is a selection of six books of choice from the publisher. Premium members can choose one to read for free each month. Chances are good that you will find an option that will attract your interest. A recent list included a thriller, a story of gothic murder, a historical novel, a book about real crime, a book for young adults and a children's book about duck.

If you want something concrete to show for your membership, check out Amazon's Sample Box program. You choose from a selection of themed boxes and receive a credit for future purchases of eligible items related to this box.

For example, Amazon offered a luxury skin care box containing perfume, exfoliating gel, moisturizer and skin serum samples for $ 19.99. You can try everything that is included in the box and also receive a $ 19.99 credit for luxury beauty products sold by Amazon. So, if you like something in the box, you can use your credit to get a full-size version of the product or any similar item in that category.

Parcel stealing in porches is a growing problem as opportunistic thieves pick up deliveries from Amazon customers. The retailer takes a new creative approach to solving this problem by offering a service called Amazon Key In-Car Delivery.

In-Car Delivery works with supported vehicle models, including Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Chevrolet and Volvo 2015 or newer vehicles that feature an active connected car service plan like OnStar. You can configure the option by car via the Amazon Key app. Amazon delivery agents will then drop your packages into your car, even if it needs to be parked in an accessible location on the ground.

7. Try before buying clothes

Amazon Prime Wardrobe allows you to use your own home as a dressing room. Prime Wardrobe allows you to fill a box with three or more items of clothing, shoes or accessories eligible, up to a maximum of eight.

Amazon ships you the box and you have a week to try the clothes as you please. You can then keep the coins you like, pay them back and return the rest to Amazon with the help of a prepaid label at no additional charge.

8. Free shipping on other sites also

One of the calls to the siren of Amazon Prime has always been free shipping, but this is not limited to Amazon.com. In 2010, Amazon acquired the popular Woot discount website in 2010. The standard free premium shipping expands to Woot purchases.

Fashionistas will also be delighted to learn that Shopbop, Amazon's clothing subsidiary, is part of the family of free premium shipments, and you also get free returns. You can get your designer brand patch and Amazon's free shipping by East Dane, similar to Shopbop, but focused on men's fashion. Between Woot, ShopBop and East Dane, your online shopping horizons with additional shipping benefits have just expanded.

Magazines: Amazon Prime Reading is your premier source for free access to popular magazine issues such as Vogue, Bon Appétit, Popular Mechanics, Esquire and Better Homes & Gardens. Just start with the Prime Reading page to browse the magazines included with your subscription.

Podcasts and audiobooks: Audible is a division of Amazon best known for providing audio books, but Amazon also uses it to provide a service called Audible Channels. Amazon does not specifically refer to Channels' offerings as "podcasts", but it's essentially what they are.

You will need to download the Audible application to start using Channels. Open the app, tap the menu and choose Channels for Prime. Here you can choose from a variety of abbreviated audio programs that explore comedy skits, musical culture, world history and news.
