BOISE, Idaho – Police in Idaho claim that nine people were hospitalized early Sunday and that one man is in custody after stabbing massively a complex of apartments in Boise that home to many refugee families

The police had not yet been injured. a suspected motive for Saturday night's attack, but a 30-year-old man was in custody.

"It's a single malicious person who has attacked," Bones said. "No provocation of which we are aware."

Bones said that the attack resulted in most victims in a single incident in the history of the Boise Police Department. "As you can imagine, the Wylie Street apartment and our community are affected by this attack," he said.

Police received a report of a stabbing at 8:46 pm and responded to the apartment in four minutes. I said. They found victims in the parking lot and inside the apartment complex. Witnesses reported that the suspect had run away and that the police had arrested the 30-year-old man a short distance away.

The investigators said that they did not know yet whether the suspect was related to the victims in any way. they did not disclose the names or ages of the victims, but stated that their age range varied widely and that "this affected all aspects of the family" of the complex.

Investigators searched the nearby canal and crime scene Saturday night. Bones said the police believe that the knife used during the assault was thrown by the suspect before his arrest.
