Burger King went after Kanye West on Twitter after the rapper declared that McDonald's was his favorite Sunday restaurant.
In an impertinent response about Kanye's obsession with his rival, the restaurant chain wrote on his US-based Twitter account: "The eyes are still closed, I guess."
This joke comes after Kanye launched himself on Twitter during a rant last week after deciding to distance himself from politics by saying, "My eyes are now wide open and I realize now that I'm used to spreading messages that I do not believe. "
But the company had not finished with the taste of fast food for the 41-year-old rapper. The UK-based Burger King Twitter account then wrote: "That explains a lot."
Kanye did not hide his love for McDonald's over the years because he had already admitted that the channel was his favorite brand.
In 2016, Kanye wrote a poem for McDonald's as part of Frank Ocean's album entitled Blonde.
The 29-line poem showed the rapper his feelings about the fast food chain and what food products could be without customers knowing.
"I've always known that fries were an evil man / Feeling all good and s *** / I do not trust any food that smells so good man," we read in the poem.
Burger King was not the only fast food chain to decide to grill Kanye on Twitter for his controversial love of McDonald's.
Wendy's, who is known for posting hilarious tweets, came after the rapper by writing, "I'm my favorite restaurant".
The smart Twitter account has decided to play Kanye's love for himself by responding to his McDonald's tweet.
Fans of the account then congratulated Wendy's for his response and added their own thoughts on Kanye's now viral tweet.
One person responded with hilarity: "Wendy's like Wendy's like Kanye likes Kanye," while another person said the Twitter account of the fast food chain was the "dopest" sector.
Surprisingly, McDonald's has not yet publicly responded to Kanye's avowed love for his foods, but the company is not as active on his Twitter accounts as his competitors.
