Titans shine in Monday night's football win against Cowboys

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Titans showed up on the Monday Night Football scene and presented a performance worthy of a bow.

After a slow start, the Titans resumed Monday night's game against the Cowboys.

When it was over, the Titans started with a 28-14 win, which ended a run of three defeats and began to gain momentum as the second half of the season. He came before 90,466 fans at the AT & T stadium.

The Titans (4-4) will face the New England Patriots on Sunday at the Nissan Stadium.

Titan quarterback Marcus Mariota played well on the stage, throwing two touchdown passes and running for another. Mariota's nine-meter touchdown with 4:38 gave the Titans a two-touch lead. Mariota completed 21 of 29 passes for 240 yards, with touchdown passes to Dion Lewis and Jonnu Smith.

In the second half, the Titans also increased the pressure on Cowboys quarter Dak Prescott, registering five sacks. The Titans also stiffened while defending offensive midfielder Ezekiel Elliott.

The Cowboys took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to Prescott's four-yard touchdown pass to receiver Amari Cooper, who arrived at 1:53 after the Titans' turnover. The Titans gave the Cowboys a good spot on the field after Mariota escaped the bag, and Dallas picked up the ball in Tennessee.

After getting a save in defense, the Titans concocted another superb goal in the lead led by Mariota. The match ended with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Lewis to give the Titans a 14-7 lead. Mariota contacted receiver Darius Jennings for a magnificent 36-yard run. He also found catcher Cameron Batson on another third downhill to extend the reach.

But the Cowboys drew just before half-time on Prescott's 23-yard pass to receiver Allen Hurns, who was behind Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler to score 14-14 in the half.

The Titans had another big defense in the third quarter, when linebacker Jayon Brown sacked Prescott, forcing a fumble retrieved by Titans linebacker Wesley Woodyard at the Dallas 40.

The Titans turned the turnover into points, clocking a seven-game pass with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Mariota to Smith with 5:44 to go in the third quarter, or 21-14.

The Titans missed a golden opportunity to get more points when kicker Ryan Succop missed a 28-yard goal with 10:58 left, leaving the score at 21-14.

But the Titans made the games to win late.
