Stephen Colbertdid not miss the big day!

In the late evening, the Last show host turned into a version of Ebenezer Scrooge's election day for a parody of Christmas carols Monday night. As the story goes, Scrooge receives the visit of three ghosts in the night who show him things that change his life before waking up and realize that all this was only a dream.

In this new scenario, Ebenezer Colbert was visited by the Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnellsenator Chuck Grassley and senator Orrin Ax before waking up to realize that he had not missed the big election.

"What day are we, what day are we?" he asks panicked as he wakes up.

Looking outside in the market, he notices "boy" Jake Gyllenhaaland try to share the electoral excitement.

"There is still time to vote here, take this bright silver crown and buy the biggest goose at mid-season that you can find," encouraged Colbert.

"You know I can see your nightgown, right?" the actor pointed out. "Seriously dude, you have to put in briefs, I can see all the election results and they swing to the left."

However, the host remained indifferent while he was looking forward to the special day – without pants.
