Voters have strong ideas about this election and let them stand out in a viral trend in social media.

With the caption "me voting in 2016 against me voting in 2018", voters across the country describe the profound transformation that they have felt over the past two years. A photo on the left usually represents youth, hope and enthusiasm – the vote in 2016. The pictures on the right show the transformation into old age, anger and the feeling of being in combat.

The same seems to have been created at least a year ago when twitter users used the same legend and the same photo transformation, but it did not take off until this year.

Some people have added unique changes to the same, such as the Twitter user @solomongeorgio who showed the transformation of 2016 when, as a non-citizen, he was unable to vote in his first election in 2018. And the Twitter user @dyrbert shared the same photo twice, remembering the exacerbated tensions that accompanied the 2016 presidential elections. In San Antonio, people used Spurs and Selena to express their feelings.

Although the mid-term elections generally attract far fewer voters than the presidential elections, early voter turnout has been unprecedented this year. In many areas – including in Bexar County and Texas – he is close to competing with the presidential figures.
