(ABC News) – While searches for a 13-year-old girl kidnapped in North Carolina are stepping up, local police have set up a line of information.
Hania Noleia Aguilar, an eighth grader, was kidnapped Monday morning outside her home at Rosewood Mobile Home Park in Lumberton, according to Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeil.
Hania seized her aunt's keys to be able to light the car before going to the bus stop to go to school when a family member saw a man dressed in black, wearing a yellow bandana on her face, approaching the teenager and bringing her into the car told me.
The suspect then stole the car and left with it, the police said.
Hania's mother is imploring "anyone who will take her daughter home to bring her home," said the Lumberton Police Department.
Police said the FBI was participating in the investigation and the authorities were following around 50 people on Monday night.
The aunt's stolen car is described as a 2002 Ford Expedition Green bearing the South Carolina license plate number, NWS984. The car peels off the hood and wears a Clemson sticker on the rear window, the police said.
This SUV image is similar to the car in which she was kidnapped, the police said.
Anyone who sees the car is invited to call 911.
The Lumberton Police Service urges anyone with information to call their designated phone number at 910-272-5871.
