The National Weather Service is looking at weather damage in many places.
The very preliminary count as of Tuesday afternoon is two.
The weather service in Huntsville is a storm survey team in Jackson and Lauderdale counties today.
The weather service has been confirmed in Lauderdale County near Cloverdale (with an EF rating still to be determined), and a second tornado in Jackson County.
The Jackson tornado was given a preliminary rating of EF-1.
Teams may look at Franklin and Colbert counties on Wednesday.
The weather service in Birmingham says it's a team from its office to southern Lamar and northwest Pickens counties.
Damage has been reported in these areas, and meteorologists will take a look at it and determine it was caused by a tornado.
If it is determined to be a tornado, the survey team will give a rating on the Fujita Scale.
Both weather service offices will be issued during the day on the teams' progress.
