Priorities USA Action, a super PAC Democrat, said that he had started translating digital ads in real time on Tuesday morning, once the group had found that "Dónde votar" or "where to vote" was the first search Google this morning.

Google Trends, which tracks trends in search, tweeted Tuesday morning that the search for the term had risen more than 3,000%. One hour after seeing this tweet, the Priorities USA Action team translated its voter engagement ads into Spanish, especially for voters in Arizona and Florida, according to Josh Schwerin, spokesman for the group. .

In this election cycle, Priorities USA Action focused its efforts on improving digital advertising for Democrats. The group had not planned to broadcast election resource ads like these on polling day, but decided to do so when it found that Google was providing search results in English for the term Spanish "dónde votar", said Schwerin.

The group's digital ad, which appeared on Google, directed voters in Spanish to IWillVote.com, the National Democratic Committee's bilingual website that allows voters to know if they are registered and find their polling place. .

Spanish-language advertising has attracted a greater user engagement than the average digital ad, which has resulted in between 17 and 20 percent of users clicking on it, the group said. The new ad has been reported for the first time by Axios.

The top four issues discussed on Google on Tuesday were: health care, immigration, abortion and property taxes, according to Google Trends.
