Four-star CB Daniel DJ flips commitment to UGA

Back on August 16, four-star defensive back DJ Daniel (Griffin, Ga./Georgia Military College) in South Carolina over Georgia. Now, Daniel has switched his decision, de-committing from the Gamecocks on Tuesday and committing to the Bulldogs. Georgia now has a commitment to the nation's No. 2 junior college prospect, No. 10 juco, and No. 40 junior college prospect.

"I have committed to Georgia," Daniel told Dawgs247.

The No. 3 cornerback in the college junior ranks, Daniel holds almost 20 deals and has taken visitors to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina. South Carolina, Kentucky, and Georgia, originally started from South Carolina, Kentucky.

Daniel is set to be a graduate and will arrive on the campus of his choice with three years to play two seasons. He hopes to make an impact for Georgia Military College first.

"I'm not looking to save myself," Daniel said. "I'm going out there, 100 percent, ready to play.We have a goal to win a championship.

In 10 games this season, Daniel has made 23 solo tackles, 26 total tackles, and three interceptions for the GMC Bulldogs.

Daniel visited Georgia for the Middle Tennessee game. The addition of the 6-foot, 180-pound defensive back gives Georgia 17 again and again for the 2019 cycle and replaces form four-star Jalen Perry (Dacula, Ga./Dacula) as the Bulldogs' lone potential cornerback in the class, joining four-star Lewis Cine (Cedar Hill, Texas / Trinity Christian) in the secondary group. Georgia is also heavily recruiting four-stars Kaiir Elam (North Palm Beach, Fla./The Benjamin School), Tyrique Stevenson (Miami / Southridge), and Nick Cross (Hyattsville, Md./Matha).
