Russian fighter plane catches US Navy plane (Ministry of Defense / CNN)
A reconnaissance aircraft of the US Navy was intercepted Monday by a Russian fighter.
The American plane was flying in the international airspace over the Black Sea when that happened.
According to officials, the Russian jet has passed at high speed in front of the navy aircraft.
The jet then made a second pass and used its afterburner.
In the video, you see the post-combustion fire of the jet as it is applied when passing the Navy aircraft.
This caused turbulence for the American crew.
The US Navy described the move as "unsafe," saying that the Russians' action was endangering the US pilots and crew.
