Instacart Launches Grocery Pickup Service in Multiple Cities in the United States

Instacart has announced that its new grocery collection service will be launched in US cities. The new pickup option works alongside the Instacart delivery service, which supports many of the same supermarkets.

Any viable grocery delivery or pickup service needs a wide variety of retailers. Instacart offers various purchase options, including pickup and delivery, to maintain customer interest and stay competitive with Amazon grocery stores, Prime Fresh and DoorDash.

Instacart's grocery shopping service works with more than 200 retailers, including a number of recognizable outlets such as Wegmans, Aldi, Cub Foods, Food Lion, Price Chopper, Publix, Schnucks, Smart & Final, Sprouts and Tops Friendly Markets.

Participating stores are located in major cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Minneapolis, Nashville, San Francisco and Washington, DC. Once the application is downloaded, you can search and buy the products of your choice, select the option Instacart collection, and then retrieve them.

If you do not want to do your shopping yourself (and you do not lose more money), the Instacart delivery service is more accessible and covers "over 70% of US households", with more than 300 retailers in the 50 states. The pricing of the delivery service is quite simple: the service is free for Instacart Express members, while non-members will bear a cost relative to their location, time or retail partner.
