New details on the Rusape bus disaster indicate that the accident was not a frontal collision, but a side scan.

It also appeared that 46 people died, contrary to what had been announced previously, according to a balance sheet of 47 people.

According to the District Superintendent of Rusape, Isaac Gowe, an officer of the ZRP, 45 people died on the spot and one person died early this morning at the Rusape General Hospital.

The Republic of Zimbabwe's police are calling on the public to visit the Rusape General Hospital to identify the bodies of their loved ones.

Sixty-one people were injured.
