Brock Lesnar's new short-term contract with WWE has been revealed and includes a UFC release clause.
The Beast was to end his reign of dominance with Vince McMahon's wrestling company at Friday's Crown Jewel.
Roman Reigns was to successfully defend the universal title against 41-year-old Braun Strowman until he delivered the shocking news last month that he was fighting leukemia.
After giving up the belt, Lesnar defeated Strowman to take back the title he had lost against Reigns at SummerSlam.
Now Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has said the six-time world champion has agreed to sign a contract to play two more games for WWE.
Lesnar is already battling AJ Styles, WWE Champion, at Survivor Series on Nov. 18 at Staples Center. Meltzer also reported that the contract, concluded last week, is not exclusive and will allow Lesnar to return to UFC.
For months, rumors have run that Lesnar will visit the Octagon for a showdown between heavyweights and Daniel Cormier next year.
Cormier called the former UFC heavyweight king after defeating Derrick Lewis in the second round on Saturday.
"Brock Lesnar, when you come, brings this brand new title to WWE. Because I feel like WWE Champion too, "said Cormier.
And UFC President, Dana White, believes that an "epic confrontation" should be "for tomorrow.
"I can not predict anything, but yes. I did not talk to Brock [tonight] but I did not look at my phone, "White told ESPN," We have not talked in a while, he's doing his business at WWE. "
After leaving the fight for MMA in 2007, Lesnar held the UFC strap for almost a year during his stay in the Octagon before losing it to Cain Velasquez in 2010.
He returned in 2016 to the UFC 200, but was later fined and suspended after being tested positive for a banned substance. He has since expressed his desire to face Cormier.
