Chances are, you’ve been paying attention to the Backstreet Boys. Chances are, you’re aware their new single is out now. Chances are, you’ll watch the music video… which is below.
The boys are back with “Chances,” which they’ve been teasing on their social accounts since the start of this month. Its cinematic music video is largely shot in a glorious train station by its directors Rene Elizondo and Backstreet Boy AJ McLean.
On it, the Backstreet Boys sing: “What are the chances that we’d end up dancing?/Like 2 in a million, like once in a life/I could have found you, put my arms around you/Like 2 in a million, like once in a life/What are the chances?”
“Chances” is lifted from the boy band’s forthcoming 10th studio album, DNA, which is set for release Jan. 25. BSB will support the album with their biggest arena tour in nearly 20 years, due to kick off in May 2019. Just weeks earlier, on April 27, the group’s Las Vegas residency “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life” will reach its conclusion.
“We were able to bring all of our influences and styles into one coherent piece of work,” BSB member Kevin Richardson says of the new album. “These songs are a great representation of who we are as individuals and who we are as a group. It’s our DNA. We’re really proud of that.”
