Cold and windy, some more flurries

MADISON (WKOW) – Now that the persistent snow is over, we are mainly focused on the cold and the wind.

The highs will only handle the bottom of the 30s today, but a strong west wind with gusts of up to 30mph will make it much colder. In fact, the chills caused by the wind will have plummeted for teenagers during daily trips!

A downstream disturbance will likely result in some additional flurries this afternoon and tonight, favoring areas to the north and east. Any additional accumulation will be minimal.

Although no other snowmakers are expected in the coming days, the cold will persist. We do not expect to warm above 40 ° before next Thursday!
