Temperatures will not be close to the freezing point all weekend, but it will always be colder than normal. High temperatures, Saturday and Sunday, should reach 50 to 50 degrees.
Dallas-Fort Worth will likely have another freeze next week, while another strong cold front could send subzero temperatures on Wednesday morning, according to the weather service.
A freeze in D-FW this weekend would be earlier than usual. The average date of the first freeze in Dallas-Fort Worth is November 22nd. On average, D-FW has 33 freeze days per season, including 2.3 in November.
When temperatures reach freezing temperatures, the National Weather Service recommends protecting pipes, pets and plants. It is also advisable to disable sprinklers to avoid creating icy surfaces.
