Sacramento Kings: to win a win over the Timberwolves

Here are three points to remember from the Kings' 121-110 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night at the Golden 1 Center:

The old wild cats go wild

Kings 'center Willie Cauley-Stein called the Timberwolves' center Karl-Anthony Towns a "little brother" of their season in Kentucky.

There was nothing small about the big men's game on Friday.

Each of the former Wildcats turned on the dash, especially Little Bro. The cities had 29 points at half-time and finished with 39 points and 19 rebounds. Cauley-Stein shot better than Towns, finishing with 25 points and 11 of 16 for the peloton, of which only the fourth pointer of his career.

Belly, back

Nemanja Bjelica started the season on a roll, averaging 15.6 points in the Kings' first nine games.

However, he scored just four goals in the next two games, including the home defeat against Sacramento in Toronto on Wednesday.

The man affectionately known as Belly had returned to his ways of scoring on Friday. He scored eight consecutive points for the Kings in the third quarter and then signaled to the crowd to be excited as the Sacramento. Minnesota dominated 29-20 in the period and led by 11 after three.

He finished with 14 points and also had eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal.

Bjelica told The Bee in a previous interview that playing with the Kings gave her a chance to show her full game.

"I just want to spend more time on the pitch to show that I can do some things on defense, too," he said. "I'm more than a shooter and I can now finally show it."

Fox the animator

De'Aaron Fox is the Kings' second leading scorer, averaging 18.7 points per night for this game.

He has been called the team's best player by his coach and teammates and helps set the pace for Sacramento. (7-5).

Against the Twolves (4-9), he explained why he was asked to show the way, spending most of his time looking for teammates.

Fox scored just seven shots and scored 14 points, but he led all players with 10 assists, his third game of the season with two numbers in that category. He did not return the ball either, he did it for the first time this season.
