The Sixers kept their perfect record at home Friday, after beating the Hornets in overtime 133-132. Joel Embiid took the team to the fourth quarter, making a few free throws and a pointer to force the overtime.
Philadelphia had taken a 21-point lead before a poor defense and an offensive eruption by Kemba Walker, the Hornets star, undermined the Sixers.
Embiid turned out to be too much of a winner since he finished the match with 42 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and, more importantly, he achieved a career record with 19 free throws.
