NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario – A 100-time bell at the Canada-US border will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission is participating in the "Bells of Peace" initiative, which will ring bells across Canada on Sunday.
One of the bells will ring at the Rainbow Bridge, which connects Niagara Falls, New York and Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Bells of Peace initiative is coordinated by the Royal Canadian Legion. It is supposed to imitate a spontaneous ringing of church bells that erupted on November 11, 1918 to celebrate the end of the war.
