PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – A cyclist was injured Friday by a trap, according to Portland police.
Officers responded to a report at around 10:53 pm a cyclist was injured as a result of a bog erected along Interstate 205, near Southeast Division Street.
Officers said they arrived and found an injured woman.
During the course of the investigation, they learned that the victim was heading north while riding her bike on the Interstate 205 multi-use trail when she found herself entangled and injured by materials hooked to the ground.
Police said they found a woven string that covered the path just south of Southeast Division Street when searching for the location. The officers also located three suspects suspected of having placed the woven string on the passage.
The suspects were arrested without incident, police said.
The suspects were identified as Justin J. Jones, 23, Antonio R. Tolman-Duran, 27, and Dakota E. Murphy. Jones, 21 years old.
Tolman-Duran and Murphy were incarcerated but have since been released. They were held for fourth-degree aggression and three heads of reckless uncertainty
Police said community members using the Interstate 205 multi-use trail should report any unsafe conditions to Portland rangers at 503-823-1637 or the Portland Police Office at 503-823-3333 or 9-7. 1-1 in case of constitutes an immediate danger for the safety of the people.
