Someone left with Hania Aguilar, 13, aboard a sport utility vehicle that was idling in front of her home in Lumberton Monday morning before going to school, the authorities announced, prompting the police to issue an Amber alert for her.
The stolen vehicle was found abandoned Thursday morning at less than 15 km from Hania's home at Rosewood Mobile Home Park, authorities said.
A poster of missing persons published by the FBI at the end of this week contains more images of Hania than those originally published.

The authorities have no reason to believe that Hania knew her kidnapper, they said Wednesday afternoon. The girl's family is collaborating in the investigation, they said.
Lumberton is located in southeastern North Carolina, near Interstate 95 and approximately 95 miles from Raleigh.
