Two more weeks and conference championship weekend will be here, the final opportunity for those in the College Football Playoff race to leave a lasting impression on the selection committee ahead of the following day’s final reveal.

Heading into the year’s final stretch of the regular season, this week’s bowl projections feature a few changes, including several SEC teams jockeying for position behind the three expected to reach the New Year’s Six.
Projecting postseason matchups after 11 weeks is not an exact science and it’s certainly one of the more subjective pieces we handle at 247Sports. They’re more or less a reflection of where we think teams will finish in their respective conferences over the final two weeks of the regular season, then placed in matchups based on the bowl selection process with regards to 2018-19 specific tie-ins and league guidelines. There are specific rules to follow in every league.
We update our bowl projections weekly on Sunday nights throughout the season, something we’ve done since 2015. As teams move into position nearing rivalry weekend, we have an educated and accurate approach to our projections using insight and what we’re hearing from sources close to several different bowl committees. It’s important to note not every bowl game is included in our weekly glance, only matchups we expect to include at least one Top 25 team or involve programs on the cusp of being nationally-ranked.
