NH Police Locate 'Armed and Dangerous' Near Rochester

Officials in New Hampshire say they found a man considered "armed and dangerous" after their overnight search for the suspect near Rochester.

The Rochester Police Department created a perimeter around 27-year-old Christopher L. Thomas Monday morning after he fired four shots in the direction of officers.

The perimeter comes after Thomas was seen in a local Walmart parking lot armed with a rifle on Sunday before he ran off into nearby woods. He is wanted by police on three warrants of the criminal threat and four warrants for theft.

Police say this is not an active shooter scenario and no injuries have been reported. Nearby businesses remain closed Monday as leaders continue efforts to capture Thomas.

Residents are asked to avoid the area to respond to the scene.
