The Duchess of Sussex has faced a barrage of attacks from cowardly trolls during her Australian tour with husband Prince Harry, with dozens of negative comments on Kensington Palace's own Instagram page.
Users lashed out at Meghan's cultural background, criticizing her skin color and throwing hateful remarks at the mother-to-be's heritage.
The Duchess, who is mixed race, was targeted with a number of racist comments.
Kensington Palace Instagram page posted a video of Meghan at the Invictus Games.
It is unclear whether Kensington Palace moderates its Instagram page, but many hateful comments have since been removed.
However, many royal fans were sparked into action before they were deleted. One jumped to Meghan's rescue, and said: "She's beautiful, successful, educated, wealthy and now she's married to a real life prince.
"These people – sadly, the vast majority are women – resent her for it, she says, and tries to invalidate everything she does, everything she says, everything she says, everything.
"For some, the fact that it's biracial makes their resentment even worse, because it's so bad, but it's the truth."
Another user defended Meghan from the vile abuse, and told the trolls: "You're racist, you're full of hate because this woman is better than you.
"She is better than you, and I am more than happy to be with you."
One fan wrote in response: "All this vile hatred is ridiculous … William, Harry, Catherine and Meghan would never be apart from this foolishness."

One royal fan, Duchess receives much more than the royal counterpart, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.
The fan wrote: "Meghan gets bashed so much for the most absurd things, that I think people are just tired of hearing the latest reason why she does not want to breathe."
Remembrance Day is a member of the Royal Family, in her second commitment since she returned from her 16-day Australian tour.
The Duchess, who is almost pregnant, arrived at Westminster Abbey in a navy blue suit that showed off her blossoming baby bump.
Meghan, Harry, Kate and William all joined the Queen and other Royals for a service to the Centenary of the Armistice at Westminster Abbey.
