It's a fun time for Veterans Day that you probably did not see coming from a cast member of NBC's "Saturday Night Live", a show that spends a lot of its time castigate President Trump and take risks against right-wing politics.

Pete Davidson is referring to a segment of the previous week's show in which he made fun of Dan Crenshaw, a GOP Congress candidate then injured in Afghanistan on his third tour as a Navy Seal.

At least some of the audience seemed to laugh, but the kickback was just beginning.
While "SNL" was under fire from critics of what many believed to be a forbidden shot to a decorated hero, Crenshaw kept the class in his response at the time:

After a week of criticism, "SNL" invited Crenshaw to this week's show, where Davidson, who lost his father, a firefighter from New York, spoke of the controversy: "I joked about the corvette captain Dan Crenshaw, and on behalf of the series and myself, I apologize, "said Davidson."
