It will rain in the south of Jersey tonight, between 18h and 18h. and at 7 pm, then quickly in the central and northern counties by approximately 8 pm, said Trent Davis, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service's Regional Weather Forecast Office in Mount Holly.
"We could see some wet snowflakes mixed in early," said Davis, but no snow accumulation is expected.
After midnight, the rain could sometimes be heavy and continuous rain could continue until the first part of Tuesday morning's trip, Davis said. As the storm moves away, light rain showers and drizzle could continue for most of the afternoon.
Monday at the beginning of the afternoon, no warning or flood alert was posted by the National Meteorological Service. This could change as the storm system gets closer.
