Sometimes breaking the rules is exactly what you are supposed to do. This works especially well when you have to dress for the press tour of your movie about wizards and magical creatures. (Consider the 'optional cape' dress code.) Her latest look is more modest than the others: a yellow jumper in a jumper fabric with a jumper collar high enough to catch local TV channels. And while everyone involved in Fantastic Beasts: The Grindelwald Crimes seems perfectly acceptable, it is the taste of Ezra Miller for the extreme which stole all the series since about July.

First stage (technical): San Diego Comic Con, where Miller has been presented in full cosplay for Toadette. A bare male leg is not often associated with pink lingerie, but it has worked. It probably should have told us what was going to happen, but it's Comic Con, so who really knew? Perhaps the real kickoff was when Miller wore this Mad Scientist jumpsuit in silver blouse and yellow scarf. It's basically the Beaker haute couture of The Muppetsand it's nothing but a compliment.

After this appearance, Miller became a cowboy "Coat with multiple colors". Look at this patchwork. There is a lot to discuss: the high-waisted pants, the brown bowtie, the whole range of patterns. It's a bit banana, certainly. and it's perfect. Agree, it's not for an official Fantastic beasts appearance, but it's in the middle of this press tour and it would be a tragedy if it was not included. Crimes of Grindelwald? I do not think so. I'm only interested in the crime of not including a Paso Doble element on every red carpet.

This brings us to the last weekend, and to this winter-little-Edie-Maleficent-in-the-Dead-of-a-Straits. The black puffer dress Montcler Pierpaolo Piccioli, padded, looks like something that a naughty Disney would wear if a blizzard suddenly broke out, and if you do not like it, you're wrong. You are going to put a nocturnal lip on and try to pair it with just about anything but a brilliant puff dress and let me know how it moves. It's an impossible look, but I can not help feeling a bit of sadness knowing that this press tour will end next week. The release of the film November 16 is the gateway for this tour de force of his wardrobe. Do you think you will get something like that? Mary Poppins is back? I think not.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, as charming as he is, will not serve you as a patchwork. There will be no dresses defying the genre. There will be no street style inspired by the man in the yellow hat, just like the impeccable look below. All we will have is the memory of Ezra and the call to be bolder than we knew it. Maybe the lesson here is to be as brave as Miller, because the result can be magical when you choose to get started completely. Magical, yellow, padded and full of patchwork.
