Doctors question the sudden disappearance of the alleged malignant tumor of a man without surgical intervention – but the patient attributes his miraculous recovery to faith and hope.
Paul Wood, of Lodi, Calif., Began talking to his doctor several months ago because he had a headache and had difficulty walking without help.
After being sent to a neurosurgeon at UC San Francisco, doctors suspected Wood to have brain bleeding – but an analysis then revealed signs of brain tumor.
Rather than accepting a dismal diagnosis, however, Wood turned to his faith and his community.

Wood, who attends Gravity Church, was inundated with messages of support and prayers from his fellow churchmen and local acquaintances.
Then, the day before his surgery, the doctors were stunned to find that the suspected tumor had disappeared.
"We do tests and we have medical technology and we try to come to a conclusion. We are like detectives – [but] sometimes we can not explain, "said Dr. Richard Yee to KOVR.

After the canceled operation, Wood simply says that "it's a miracle and that's how God planned it."
Regardless of whether his recovery is due to divine intervention, Wood hopes his story will inspire hope for patients with similar diagnoses.
