The armed wing of Hamas said it would intensify attacks and rocket fire on Israeli cities in Ashdod and Beersheba if Israel continued its air strikes in Gaza.
This warning was issued Tuesday, hours after a rocket fired from Gaza killed an Israeli, directly striking a residential building in the coastal city of Ashkelon. The rocket was fired after an Israeli air strike that destroyed the Hamas television building in Gaza.
The spokesman for the Hamas military wing, identified only under the name of Abu Obeida, said in a statement that "Ashkelon" entered the firing range in response to the bombing of Buildings in Gaza ".
