Verizon, Motorola, Qualcomm and Samsung announced that they had made the world's first 5G data transmission on a smartphone using a "3GPP 5G New Radio (NR) Commercial Network". How did they do it? Use a Moto Z3 with a connected 5G Moto Mod, which should be available when its phone service starts in 2019.
