RIALTO (CBSLA) – A fast bush fire was burned near Rialto homes Tuesday night while Santa Ana was blowing.
The "Sierra Fire" erupted near Highway 15 and the Glen Helen Amphitheater.
The crews used bulldozers to attack the fire and progressed around 11 pm.
Santa Ana winds picked up embers and pushed smoke into the air. Clouds of thick smoke could be seen for miles.
Stu Mundel of CBS2 was on the scene when the flames came closer to the houses.
It is not known if structures caught fire.
No official evacuation order was immediately issued.
