#DeepVeerwaleDeepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh took their vows in a Sindhi ceremony today at the picturesque Villa del Balbianello. The Lake Como venue has reportedly been decked up with red roses, and the baraatis, clad in red turbans, arrived on a yacht.
Padukone is rumoured to be wearing a lehenga by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her big day – which coincides with 5 years of the release of the couple’s first film, ‘Ram Leela’, together. It was during the shooting of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that the duo fell in love.

The couple is expected to share pictures from their wedding today. Meanwhile, they have sent thank you hampers to loved ones and media back in India.
A day earlier, the actors wed in a traditional Konkani ceremony. Leaked pictures from the event showed white roses adorn the ivy-covered columns of the villa, as the bride, groom and bridal party were all dressed in ivory and gold.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot in a gorgeous wedding on the banks of Lake Como, six years after they started dating. The actors met, and fell in love, on the sets of ‘Ram Leela’, their first film together.
The wedding was an extremely private and intimate affair, with only close family and friends making it to the guest list.
The first of the two ceremonies planned, a Konkani wedding took place today at Villa del Balbianello – a lakeside mansion featured in ‘Star Wars’ and ‘James Bond’ films. A Sindhi wedding will take place on Thursday.
The 700-year-old venue was decked up with white roses for the ceremony.

It was all ivory and gold at the wedding – right from the decor to the guests’ attire, and the couple’s outfits. Padukone looked stunning with a floral bun, and Singh arrived under a brocade umbrella.
The groom’s father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, also kept his look traditional in a white dhoti-kurta.

The private wedding was a relatively Bollywood-free affair, with only close family and friends making it to the guest list. However, among the attendees was actor Suniel Shetty’s wife, Mana (seen here).
Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Farah Khan and Aditya Chopra were also reportedly invited.
The couple will host a grand reception for their industry colleagues at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on November 28. Another reception for Padukone’s family and friends will also be held in Bengaluru.

The actors have kept the wedding an intimate affair, with barely any Bollywood celebrities in attendance. However, actor Suniel Shetty’s wife Mana was spotted at the ceremony yesterday.
Filmmaker Farah Khan, who also reportedly received an invitation, gifted the couple clay impressions of their hands as a wedding present.
Padukone’s ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’ is also celebrating the couple’s nuptials and have updated their bio with the hashtag #DeepVeerwale. The couple have requested all wedding presents to be directed as donations towards the foundation.
Earlier, Padukone’s younger sister Anisha had also updated her social media handles to read #Ladkiwale.
The ‘Padmaavat’ actors, who announced their wedding on social media in October, will host two receptions on their return to the country, in Bengaluru and Mumbai each.
They kicked off their pre-wedding celebrations in their hometowns, with the Padukones hosting a Nandi Puja and the Bhavnanis a Haldi ceremony. Another picture from Deepika’s puja at home has now surfaced and gone viral on social media.
