Tesla Inc.
TSLA, + 1.29%
is aiming to produce 7,000 model 3 sedans a week by the end of November, according to a report released Thursday by the Electrek automotive blog. According to an internal email from Electrek to CEO Elon Musk, for the benefit of employees, Mr. Musk will be on the assembly line for Models 3 on November 27-28. "On the 28th, all the production subsystems of Model 3 must be at 50+ UHD stable, which is necessary for a real rate of 1000 vehicles per day," the e-mail reportedly said. Tesla did not immediately respond when asked to confirm the report. Tesla has not given the exact figures of his production for a while. In July, Tesla said he had achieved his goal of producing 5,000 models 3 per week, and in an interview earlier this month, Musk said the company was working to increase that number to 6,000, then to 7,000 a week. Musk tweeted on July 1st that he had touched 7,000 units in a week, but that it did not seem like a sustained effort.
