Vintage World War II aircraft crashes Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – An investigation is underway following the crash of a WWII aircraft at an apartment complex in Fredericksburg on Saturday, according to NBC affiliate KXAN News.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration told KXAN that the vintage WWII fighter plane crashed around 3:15 pm.

Two people were in the plane at the time of the accident, according to KXAN. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The FAA and the National Safety Board are investigating the cause of the accident.
