Formula 3 driver Sophia Floersch had a broken spine and other people outside the track were injured in a delusional crash during a race in Macau, China.
Floersch lost control of his car as the peloton approached a slow right turn. His car skidded towards the corner at high speed before taking off and crashing into a barrier outside the corner where photographers and marshals were.
An official medical report, signed by Macao Chief Medical Officer Wai Sin Chan, states that Sophia Florsch is aware of the presence of stable vital signs but is suffering from a "fracture of the spine". At least three people outside the runway were injured.
Other people involved were Marshal Chan Cha In, who suffered facial lacerations, a broken jaw and abrasion at the "upper wall of his abdomen". Photographer Chan Weng Wang had a liver laceration and Japan's Minami Hiroyuki suffered a concussion.

Floersch, 17, tweeted that she was "fine" but that she was going to be operated on Monday. Floersch moved from Formula 4 to Formula 3 in 2018. She competed in Sunday's race in Macao, 22nd overall.
