There was not much movement in the top 25 until the last week of the regular season.
The championship conference games are fast approaching as the regular season begins to end.
A good many of the teams who faced a weaker competition on Saturday as they prepare for the final game before the playoffs.
In the Big 12, two ranked teams suffered defeats, while Texas, number 15, toppled number 16, Iowa State, and Oklahoma County, upset by number 9, West Virginia. The Longhorns and Mountaineers are now tied at 6-2 at the conference. One of them will probably finish second in the standings and play Oklahoma in the Big 12 title match.
A year after winning a historic victory over the Seminoles, Boston College was unhappy. And Syracuse was dominated by Notre Dame in a contest featuring two teams in the top 12.
