LAWRENCEBURG, Tennessee – The man accused of raping a boy 16 months earlier this month was arrested after being added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's most wanted list earlier this week.

Simon Dean Porter, 33, was wanted for serious charge rape after November 10, according to a WSMV report.

The authorities were informed by a local doctor who examined the child, who has since been taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

"The suspect of raping a young child in Lawrenceburg has been added to our list of the ten most wanted people," TBI reported on Twitter. "We hope to spread that throughout Tennessee and the surrounding states, so thanks for the RT!"

The office has released several photos of Porter's different looks over the last two years on Friday.

TBI officials tweeted on Sunday that Porter had been captured by law enforcement in Scottsboro, Alabama.

Porter lives in Lawrenceburg, but has ties to Giles and White House counties in Tennessee and northern Alabama.

The Demand Project, a children's rights group, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have offered up to $ 3,500 for his arrest.
