For the first time in more than 70 years, the Cleveland Indians are ready to conquer the land without leaving a trace of Chief Wahoo's logo on their uniforms.
The club unveiled its 2019 uniforms on Monday and finally completely eliminated Chief Wahoo's controversial logo, which has angered many people over the years for their insensitivity and racism toward Native Americans. The logo will not appear on any of their four teams next season.
The Indians have spent the past few years phasing out the division's logo – still a favorite of many Clevelanders – and have begun replacing it with the "C" logo on the helmets and hats team block.
