Arkansas defenders Kamren Curl and Ryan Pulley were suspended for the Razorbacks' last regular season game against Missouri on Friday, after being seen with members of the Mississippi State Dance Team before the coup d'envoi Saturday.

A local journalist said he saw Curl and Pulley take pictures and chat with members of the Bulldogs' spiritual squad during the pre-game warm-up. Arkansas lost the match to Starkville, Mississippi, 52-6.

Arkansas coach Chad Morris did not specify the reason for the suspension, but told reporters that two defensive backs "will not be here today or yesterday, nor in any part of this week for unacceptable behavior ".

Arkansas (2-9, 0-7) struggled in Morris's first season at Fayetteville, with his only two wins against Eastern Illinois and Tulsa. The Razorback could end the season after losing four straight if they can beat Missouri on the road Friday.

Losing Curl and Pulley, who have a combined total of 20 starts this season, reduce the defense's chances of slowing down Tiger quarterback Drew Lock, who has amassed 2,904 yards and 23 touchdowns this season.
