An elaborate funeral in the hometown of Diddy Planning for Kim Porter in Georgia

Kim Porter will rest in the same place where it was raised … and Diddy make sure that the ceremony befits the woman he describes as more than a soulmate.

Sources near Diddy tell us that Kim's funeral will be held Saturday in Columbus, Georgia. Porter grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High in 1988. It's also the same place where his mother, Sarah, was buried in 2014.

Our sources say that on Friday night, Kim's friends and family will gather in town for a dinner. The funeral will be held the next day and the family is preparing a Sunday event.

As for the burial … we are told that Diddy wants an extravagant ceremony. Our sources say that he talks about Kim's coffin traveling by horse drawn carriage.

Celebrity Pastor T.D. Jakes will drive the service.

Diddy held a memorial for Kim Sunday night at his home in Bel Air, where nearly 100 people attended and shared memories of members of the Porter family such as French Montana, Mary J. Blige and Pharrell.

Earlier Sunday, Diddy broke his silence when she died, she said, "These last three days, I have been trying to get out of this nightmare, but I do not know, I do not know what I'm going to do without you, baby."

Diddy continued … "I miss you so much today, I'm going to pay tribute to you, I'll try to find the words to explain our inexplicable relationship, we were more than good friends, we were more than soul mates. WE HAVE BEEN SOME OTHERS! And I miss you so much. "Super Black Love."

TMZ broke the story … Porter was found dead in his house L.A. on Thursday. Sources close to her told us that she had recently fallen ill with the flu and that she had complained about not feeling well Wednesday night before going to bed. Family members tried to wake her up Thursday, without success. She was pronounced dead at home.

It is not known if influenza was an underlying cause of death. Kim had gone to Africa shortly before her death and the authorities are investigating the possibility that she had contracted something there.

The cause of death must be known 4 to 6 weeks after the publication of the toxicological results.

Kim was 47 years old.
