DENVER (CBS4) –
Warmer and sunny Monday in Colorado, all thanks to a wide ridge of high pressure on the west. This will keep us on the hot, sunny side for the next few days.
If you intend to drive somewhere in Colorado before Thanksgiving, we do not expect any weather problems to come to your Turkey Day destination.
We are going to spend the rest of the week with highs in the 50s and 60s, it should be a wonderful week for the eastern part of Colorado.
The weather should also cooperate for the next football games in Colorado, including Air Force and CSU, who will play at the Academy on Thursday afternoon and at the Broncos taking the Steelers to the Mile High on Sunday afternoon.
However, while the eastern part of Colorado is hot and sunny, two storms will hit the high country from Thursday night. This first will not bring much snow, but enough to make the roads icy and snowy. The second, Friday, could bring snow in the mountains, between 6 and 12 inches. Some of this amount could go to the Denver area early Saturday morning.
If you plan to return from your holiday, know that Saturday could be synonymous with snow and snow on our passes.
