In one of the most obvious kayfabe injuries in the recent history of WWE, Braun Strowman came out with a broken elbow.
Michael Cole announced the news during the third hour of Raw and Strowman's status for TLC appears to be in real danger or orchestrated.
The injuries came after Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin teamed up to dismantle Strowman after Raw's opening match. After a long fight, Lashley tied Strowman's arm to half of the steel stairs. Corbin then used the other half to crush Strowman's exposed arm – sending him into a real orthopedic nightmare.

By the time this happened, Strowman sold the injury as if it were serious. The WWE filmed Strowman bellowing, he could not feel his arm or fingers and he was rushed to the nearest pet hospital.

This injury would seem to keep Strowman off the television for a few weeks. This would correspond to the rumor that Strowman would fight a pair of bad knees, a nagging injury that he apparently would have committed. However, he may calm down in the next few weeks as his broken elbow narrows slowly.
This is the official WWE statement on this topic:
In tonight's six-game playoff match, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin's Acting General Manager brutally assaulted Braun Strowman and broke the Monster Among Men's right arm with the steel steps. WWE.com can confirm that Strowman was seriously injured during the attack and that his medical staff is being evaluated to determine the extent of the damage.
Earlier in the night, Raw Commissar Stephanie McMahon scheduled a game of tables, ladders and chairs between Strowman and Corbin on the WWE TLC pay television program. If Strowman defeats the interim general manager, he will get a universal championship opportunity against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble and Corbin will lose all authority. If Corbin wins, he will become the permanent general manager of Monday Night Raw.
