An aspiring actress filed on Monday a motion for an injunction against lawyer Michael Avenatti.

Mareli Miniutti – who was participating a bit in "Ocean's 8" – filed the documents in a Santa Monica court a few days after Avenatti was charged with domestic violence that would have left a woman's face "Swollen and bruised".

Avenatti – who represents porn actress Stormy Daniels in her legal battle against President Trump – issued a brief statement Monday night.

"I can not wait to see my name clarified and disclose all the facts" the lawyer wrote on Twitter.

"I have NEVER abused a woman or committed domestic violence against anyone. Any claim to the contrary is completely false and fabricated. I am a target. And I will be exonerated.

Police were called Wednesday at an address where a woman said she had been a victim of an assault the night before.

Avenatti was arrested under the domestic violence charge, but was released later in the day on a $ 50,000 bail and was not formally charged.

He first described the charges as "completely false."

"I want to thank the hard-working men and women of the LAPD for their professionalism. They did their work only in the light of completely false allegations against me, "he said after his arrest.

Avenatti also pointed to Jacob, an internet hoax, who had been involved in a ploy to make false accusations of sexual behavior against special advocate Robert Mueller.

"First of all, Mueller and now me," he tweeted on Thursday. "When we are fully exonerated, I will come and get you Jacob Wohl, aka Surefire."

Daniels, who claims to have had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006 and to have been secretly paid to keep quiet about it, said that she would look for a new lawyer if the allegations of spousal abuse against Avenatti were true.

"For the moment, these are just allegations, and I will reserve my judgment and hope everyone else will do it because, believe me, I know what it is like. to be on the other end, "Daniels told CBS News.

TMZ.com initially stated that the alleged victim was Avenatti's wife, which was quickly discussed and the lawyer declared that he should be prosecuted.
