On this Thanksgiving holiday, Sarah Michelle Gellar learns that her many social media are not necessarily grateful.
Gellar posted a series of revealing photos on her Instagram account Monday, showing her dressed in black lingerie, accompanied by the caption: "I'm going to pin them everywhere in my house to remind me not to overeat Thursday."
The message drew some celebrity admirers, with Debra Messing commenting, "Are you KIDDING ME ??!" And Tiffani Thiessen, writing, "Is it strange that I find these photos of you at home too?"
In addition to the praise of Gellar's Hollywood friends, many commentators have blamed the actress for promoting poor eating habits.
"Live your life, girl! Eat delicious food! Do not worry about tomorrow!" an Instagram user wrote, while others took on a more combative tone.

"Nothing wrong with not wanting to eat too much for Thanksgiving," said another speaker. "I feel you're hiding it all in a message she was supposed to share because she felt beautiful that day, it's a regression and she looks amazing."
