COLUMBIA, SC (AP) – Billionaire investor Tom Steyer is using more and more to launch a potential presidential bid for 2020.

Steyer said Tuesday in a statement that he intended to return to South Carolina next Wednesday to participate in an advance vote for an event in Charleston.

Steyer says that he intends to talk about the importance of equal voting. This is one of five fundamental rights that Democrats should defend before the next presidential election.

On Tuesday, Steyer announced that he was publishing a one-page ad in the USA Today and Gannett newspapers across the country to describe these five rights, which also include the rights to clean air, to safe water and at a living wage.

Steyer has already made several trips to South Carolina, where the first South primary is held.
