American Airlines did not start without a hitch on one of the busiest days of the year.
US passengers were greeted by longer lines at the country's airports Wednesday morning, when self check-in kiosks were temporarily out of service.
US spokesman Ross Feinstein blamed the problem on a "brief connectivity problem" with one of the US data centers.
Feinstein stated that no flights had been touched and that the problem had been short-lived.
