The story behind the outfits of Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle were both busy Wednesday making separate engagements – but in matching colors that made them look like a united front anyway.

In a move that the attendees called "rare", both events in London were embargoed by the Palace in advance. Kate spent the afternoon at University College London to learn about a new M.R.I. Scanning Facility and neuroscience research unit on how early experiences shape children and their mental health. Meanwhile, Meghan made an unannounced visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen in West London, where she donned an apron and quickly got to work. She was on hand to see how the recipes from her cookbook, Together, were spent in the kitchen, which supports the community affected by the Grenfell fire.

Sources close to Meghan say that she was deliberately wearing a flowing dress today so that her pregnancy would not become one of the headlines. Kensington Palace, however, did not want to tell if Kate and her had deliberately coordinated their outfits that had the same shades of dark red.

Meghan wore a burgundy straight coat and dress from Club Monaco, which effectively concealed her growing belly, while Kate wore a Paule Ka burgundy jacket and skirt that she had already worn.

"Since Meghan and Kate were making commitments on the same day, I imagine that some people thought about their outfits," said a source. "I think it's probably fair to say that Meghan's outfit was carefully planned so that she did not distract from what she was doing showing off her baby bump."

With the announcement of the family office division in Cambridge and Sussex, it is likely that young royals will engage more solo in the coming months. Once invented the fab four oven, William Kate Harry and Meghan want to focus on different causes and think they can cover more land with separate offices. They will continue to work together on the Royal Foundation.

According to palace sources, discussions took place at an early stage on the functioning of the two separate households, but no change should take place immediately. In the meantime, the four will continue to focus on the chosen initiatives and it would seem that they are aware of not stepping on their feet.

Aids will want Kate to be in the spotlight this year, when she will launch a new campaign for disadvantaged children in Britain. The Duchess wants initiatives that will help families fight against antisocial behavior, addictions and mental health.

At the same time, Meghan has announced to its employees that she wants to work as close as possible to its deadline next spring. She is expected to announce her collaboration with at least one charity by the end of the year.
