Before the Senate arrives, what do voters in Mississippi think of this remark?

Sarah McCammon:

Right.

She had some incidents, remarks. She was also filmed recently, suggesting that it might be more difficult for the Liberals to vote. And she said – her campaign said it was sort of taken out of context and was just a joke.

But that's the kind of thing that, again, in a state like Mississippi, famous for suppressing the vote of African Americans, is a concern for a lot of people. Also in recent days, a publication on Facebook a few years ago was published in which one could see her wearing a Confederate hat and a rifle, and the caption said something like "The Mississippi Story at Its Best" .

So, given the racial nuances present and, again, the historical context, a lot of concern, particularly from the Democratic voters and the black voters, with whom I spoke.
